Causes of exfoliating skin and how to overcome it

  • Allergy. When facial skin comes in contact with allergens (allergens), the skin can react. Not only exfoliation, but the reaction may also cause itching, rash or blisters.

  • Effects of drugs. Some drugs such as retinoid cream can make the skin flake off. Retinoid creams are used to treat acne, reduce wrinkles, and brighten brown spots. This cream works by removing dead and regenerating skin cells. As a result, the skin of the upper layer of the face peels to open the way for the growth of new skin cells. In addition, the effects of chemotherapy drugs can also make facial skin flake off.
